CREATING HOPE THROUGH FIRST-EVER GETAWAYS

In October, during Anti-Poverty Week, the Magical Getaway Foundation gifted seven families across three states their first-ever holidays—moments filled with rest, laughter, and connection.

Three families from Melbourne stayed at Anchor Belle Holiday Park in Phillip Island, two families from Sydney spent their getaway at BIG4 Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park, and two families from Brisbane enjoyed the sunshine at Turtle Beach Resort.

For many, it was the first time they’d ever taken a break together, a chance to step away from daily struggles, reconnect as a family and experience the simple joy of being together.

“Thank you for this wonderful opportunity for myself and my children to have a holiday. I am ever so grateful.”

These getaways are about more than a few days away. They’re about what they bring; hope, confidence and connection that lasts long after the suitcases are unpacked.

A heartfelt thank-you to our wonderful Board Members, who volunteered their time to host our Welcome BBQs at each location.
