HAPPY PLACE AT THE NOOK

The Happy Place Art Exhibition at The Nook Gallery & Studios in Mornington was a truly special evening, filled with creativity and magical moments.

The event, held on Friday 15 November 2024, featured over 100 suitcases and backpacks painted by children, young people and adults, each representing their "Happy Place."

For some, these reflected cherished memories of past holidays, while others depicted dreams of future adventures.

The exhibition, opened by Sam Groth MP, brought together more than 15 local organisations, including Mornington Peninsula Shire Youth Services, Jimmy’s Youth Wellbeing Sanctuary and Hastings Primary School.

A highlight of the night was hearing from Cliona who had received a first-ever holiday through the Foundation.

In a heartfelt interview conducted by our Ambassador, Kat Stewart, she shared how the experience had created lasting memories and the impact it had on her family’s life.

Their story reminded everyone of the profound impact these holidays can have.

Attendees enjoyed browsing the one-of-a-kind carry-on cases and backpacks and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased a suitcase or bought one to pay it forward, helping future families.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event, including The Andrews Foundation, and for helping us continue our mission of gifting the magic of a holiday to those who need it most.

With the help of everyone on the night, we raised enough money to send a family from the Mornington Peninsula Shire on their first-ever holiday in 2025.
